Artist Biography
Dominic’s (a.k.a DOMM) passion for music started young growing up in Schubert street in Namibia. His tonality was fixed by early music lessons in Russian music and mathematics and the improvisational style of eastern Europe. At school Dominic was part of the his high school choir where he enjoyed multiple performances. Dominic studied classical singing, voice production, breathing and pronunciation with Elizabeth Potgieter since 2012 following the Italian School principles and first worked with Mrs Potgieter, an acclaimed lieder singer, when she was an accompanist for Evan Schoombie at Starlight Studio’s in 2007.
His big break on the Opera scene followed in 2011 where Dominic was invited on the stage in Spain as an extra. Dominic wrote ABRSM exams in music in 2015 with much success. And attends the local eisteddfod at his home town Arts theatre where he also has preformed in pantomimes on multiple occasions. Dominic preforms at the Bi-annual singing school concert each year. He is a regular member of the Bel Canto choir in George in the Garden, route, RSA. His debut cd, Seasons of love from the musicals, tells the story of how love compels us to act in life and is based on what he has observed in his job as a counsellor. The aim of the CD is to help one find their soul-mate.
